The internet is said to enhance individual human tendencies by 10x, both good and bad. I wonder whether social media does something similar with social power behaviours but because it is easier to destroy vs create, the negative pleasures win out and imagery is stronger than text. Propaganda, misinformation, anti-science, hatred, gossip etc are all easier to spread and quicker to impact.
