Dear Mr Cambell, you have offered a lot of very sound ideas, practical suggestions as to what my club could do (on top of what it has done) in order to wipe away the stain created by a bunch of morons wearing Blue Scarves. A lot more sensible than much of what has been demanded by the ‘Do Something’ brigade….
1960s Leeds United Albert Johanneson, is all I have to say,

Some really funny moments there Aitch 🙂
I would like to agree with the Churchill motto that British people “prefer to be told how bad things really are” rather than have people pretend things are better than they are.
Except I don’t see how that holds true. I have been a frequent visitor to many grounds in various leagues up and down the country and I would like to point out one thing to you: not one Chelsea fan in that video seemed unduly shocked or amazed by the incident. None of them exactly had to wing it or look up a songbook for the words.
In other words rather than being a “tiny minority” or an “isolated incident” it is quite clear (as it would be to anyone who travels to football matches up and down the country, on tubes etc) that racism, thuggishness, singing racist songs etc is commonplace among many football fans.
I also remember a video about football violence and neo-nazism which said that the 2 worst clubs in Britain for this were Chelsea and West Ham (for those who don’t know that first hand).
Why has hardly anyone in the media mentioned “The Chelsea Headhunters”?
Not only we have buried our heads in the sand, we are still doing it, and that is why incidents like this happen all the time, and will continue to do so.
Can I also point out that I believe those fans would have stopped any non chelsea fan getting on the train – I have seen this before. Of course it is worse because of the racism, but even that is scummy behaviour which should see a sentence.
I would like if we could stay united to address that but I can’t help add that too many soft-on-crime lefties have led us to this state of affairs. Not I might add, Tony Blair, who did a little bit better on crime, carrying on the good work begun by Michael Howard.
