Well, I got the bit at the start about industrial and middle America feeling abandoned for decades and Trump’s alternative anti or non Government agenda being attractive. But Urban’s deflection for the rest of the interview was gobsmacking. As for ‘Americans have lost faith in Government and institutions…’ Um, yeah, because Trump bangs on about it and have media outlets and so called journalists like Urban as his megaphone. No questions asked, no fact checking, just say whatever. He was like a battering ram of half truths and propaganda. Well done getting the interview, Alastair, I hope you rewarded yourself with a drink afterwards to calm down.
Where can we get some insights into how even Alistair struggles to manage a master spinner from constantly diverting attention away from the questions of import.
This interview exemplifies the challenge.
It’s riveting though.
